The CALS-2000 ™ is a patented revolutionary Computer
Aided Learning System for your Windows-based computer that uses
magnetic sockets to hold components on conductive paths! Just
hook up your existing computer and printer to the CALS-2000
™ and you are on your way to learning circuit building
and understanding how different components function. The computer’s
audio system is used as an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.
Other features include three-level logic-state indicators, speaker
and earphone jack, 9 volt, 5 volt, and -9 volt DC power
supplies, serial communication port, 8” x 10” work
area for large experiments, complete instructions for all experiments
on CD, and two variable resistor controls. Load in the CD and
you have over 500 experiments, including the construction of
a complete AM radio station. CALS comes with full glossary for
every word used and calculators for resistor color codes, time
constants, Ohm’s Law, amplifier gain, and decimal to binary!
It even comes with a set of FCC rules and regulations. Battery
or AC operation.
System Requirements: Windows 95 or better, CD-ROM drive, and
10MB hard drive space required.
